  1.            STRATEGIES FOR MASSIVE LOTTERY POOLS

  3.     A massive lottery pool is any pool above 1000 tickets.
  4.  These pools usually are formed by "very serious" lottery players
  5.  with the intent of winning very large drawings - usually above
  6.  $ 40 million.  The number of players in these pool may be as little
  7.  as 5 to 10  up to in the thousands.  Some massive pools have
  8.  attempted in the past to "corner" as much as 50 - 75 % of all
  9.  the possible combinations in some drawings. I'm speaking of the
  10.  attempt by the Australian syndicate to buy all the tickets in
  11.  the Virginia lottery in January of 1992.

  13.     Some options are:
  14.  
  15.     1)  Pick the top 6 numbers by frequency         plus
  16.  
  17.     2)  Pick the top 3 numbers by frequency plus
  18.          the 3 most overdue numbers                 plus
  19.  
  20.     3)  Wheel a medium/large size group of numbers 
  21.         (16-22)    for a 4/4 win, or possible 5 
  22.         or grand prize                              plus
  23.  
  24.     4)  Run a "Power" wheel on 8 or 12 key
  25.         numbers                                      or
  26.  
  27.     5)  Wheel a medium group (10-12) numbers for a 
  28.         "full" wheel                                 or
  29.  
  30.     6)  Run a set of 4000 to 12000 sets of random
  31.         numbers filtered with a yield of (25%) 
  32.         thus giving 1000 to 3000 sets of numbers     or
  33.  
  34.     7)  If ballset information is available pick
  35.         a couple of ballsets, and use an abbreviated
  36.         wheel to pick 300 or 500 sets from each of 
  37.         about 3 to 5 ballsets.
